Tracer les équilibres fragiles du monde
Dans le prolongement de la série ‘’ La Terre entre nos mains ‘’, cette œuvre déploie un vert intense, à la fois promesse de renouveau et signe de la fragilité du vivant. Sur le noir profond de l’Anthropocène, elle évoque les tensions qui traversent aujourd’hui notre relation à la Terre.
La forme circulaire rappelle la planète autant que les cycles du vivant. Sa surface dessine une cartographie sensible de parcelles agricoles où émergent des mains entrouvertes, traces du travail humain, de l’attention portée au sol autant que de son pouvoir de transformation.
Réalisée à partir de films radiographiques et de fragments textiles réemployés, l’œuvre porte en elle la mémoire des matériaux qui la composent. Dans l’espace, des mains suspendues, reliées par des fils, prolongent cette réflexion sur les liens qui unissent l’humain, la terre et le vivant.
Par le réemploi des matériaux autant que par son écriture plastique, l’œuvre fait de l’écologie non un sujet, mais une expérience sensible de notre interdépendance.
Tracing the Fragile Equilibria of the World
Extending the series ‘’ The Earth in Our Hands’’, this work unfolds a vibrant green that embodies both renewal and fragility, a sign of hope as much as a reminder of the vulnerability of the living world. Set against the deep black of the Anthropocene, it reflects on the tensions that shape our relationship with the Earth today.
Its circular form evokes both the planet and the cycles of life. Across its surface, a sensitive cartography of cultivated landscapes emerges, from which partially open hands appear—traces of human labour, care, and our capacity to shape the land.
Created from reclaimed X-ray films and repurposed textile fragments, the work carries within it the memory of its materials. Suspended in space, hands connected by fine threads extend this reflection on the invisible relationships that bind humanity, the Earth and the living world.
Through the reuse of materials as much as through its visual language, the work approaches ecology not as a subject, but as a lived experience of our interconnectedness.
