Depuis dix ans, le cycle de recherches ‘’ BOTANIQUES ’’ explore les processus d’effacement, de transformation et de mémoire à travers le végétal. D’une série à l’autre, le motif disparaît progressivement, la matière se fragilise, jusqu’à laisser apparaître ce qui demeurait invisible.
» Évanescences botaniques » poursuit cette recherche en explorant la mémoire du vivant à travers l’effacement progressif de la matière. Gravé, fragilisé puis presque dissous, le papier révèle peu à peu la radiographie qu’il recouvre, faisant apparaître un dialogue entre le corps humain et le monde végétal. Inspirées de planches botaniques anciennes, de photographies de fleurs et de motifs textiles floraux réemployés, ces œuvres évoquent la fragilité des écosystèmes et la disparition silencieuse du vivant.

Disappearance is itself a form of revelation. For the past ten years, the body of work ‘’ BOTANIQUES ’’ has explored processes of erasure, transformation and memory through the plant world. From one series to the next, the motif gradually fades, the material becomes increasingly fragile, until what had remained invisible slowly emerges.
» Botanical Evanescences » continues this investigation by exploring the memory of the living world through the gradual disappearance of matter. Engraved, weakened and almost dissolved, the paper progressively reveals the X-ray beneath its surface, creating a dialogue between the human body and the plant world. Inspired by antique botanical plates, photographs of flowers and repurposed floral textile patterns, these works evoke the fragility of ecosystems and the silent disappearance of the living world
