Dans une esthétique de la fluidité et de la délicatesse, ‘’ La chute #2 ‘’ révèle la fragilité du papier confrontée à la puissance de l’eau. Entre apparition et effacement, l’œuvre interroge la vulnérabilité humaine face aux forces naturelles et fait écho à la fragilité des existences.
Réalisée à partir des restes de tests de silhouettes issus de la précédente œuvre ‘’ La Chute ‘’, l’installation de fils aux reflets satinés, mats ou brillants suggère, sous l’effet de la lumière, cascades, courants, vagues et écume.
Déployées verticalement et horizontalement, comme une dentelle suspendue entre vide et matière, des silhouettes humaines en papier et calque semblent s’accrocher, retenues entre bascule et résistance, chute et élévation, dans une tension où se mêlent beauté et tragique, contemplation et émotion.
The Fall #2
In an aesthetic of fluidity and delicacy, ‘’ The Fall #2 ‘’ reveals the fragility of paper confronted with the power of water. Between appearance and disappearance, the work questions human vulnerability in the face of natural forces and echoes the fragility of existence.
Created from leftover silhouette tests from the previous work ‘’ The Fall’’, the installation of threads with satin, matte, and reflective finishes suggests, through the effect of light, cascades, currents, waves, and foam.
Deployed both vertically and horizontally, like suspended lace between void and matter, human silhouettes in paper and tracing paper appear to cling on, caught between imbalance and resistance, and elevation, in a tension where beauty and tragedy, contemplation and emotion intertwine.
