Cette installation fait partie d’une série d’oeuvres sur l’anatomie textile et la seconde vie des matériaux.
Elle a été réalisée à partir de tests d’échantillonnages de couleur d’un tissu, et de radiographies. Ces matériaux étaient destinés au rebut.
Les créations qui en sont nées, constituent des actes éthiques autant qu’esthétiques. Elles proposent également une réflexion sur les problèmes liés à la surconsommation et aux déchets à recycler.
Le tissu et ses chutes ont été découpés, transformés en nouvelles textures et motifs, entre peau et étoffe.
La radiographie a été gravée des motifs tissés du recto et des faisceaux de fibres du verso, évoquant des génomes sur une peau tatouée de l’intérieur.
This installation is part of a series of works on the textile anatomy and the second life of materials.
It was carried out from color sampling tests of a fabric, and X-rays. These materials were destined for scrap.
The resulting creations constitute ethical as well as aesthetic acts. They also offer a reflection on the problems related to overconsumption and waste to be recycled.
The fabric and its scraps have been cut, transformed into new textures and patterns, between skin and fabric.
The x-ray has been engraved with the woven patterns on the front and fiber bundles on the back, evoking genomes on a tattooed skin from within.
